My Black is Beautiful :)
Just saw this on worldstarhiphop.com and I was taken away by the beauty of these women and also amazed that our skin tones are not appreciated in the way they should be, I mean from a humor point of view and a serious health perspective, what is the skin tone of the person who is less likely to have wrinkles when they are older and age gracefully????? And on another note, what is the skin tone of the person who represents a diverse mix of cultures and panafricanism????? We all have something beautiful represented in our skin tones. During my time learning about my health, I realized that the skin no matter what color is what will tell you if someone is healthy because of how our skin depends on nutrition and water to represent your genetic make-up in the best way and most beautiful way it can! On that note, we shouldn't look at bleaching cream, acne products and other beauty products to change us, but to emphasize what is uniquely us in the healthiest way possible...going organic is not a bad idea.

What's Your Value? Hot, Red Bottom?
Looking at all my pairs of shoes, what value do they hold? Apart from the need to put something on my feet before walking outside (hygiene purposes). Do they suggest something I wish to express? Do they suggest that I am high maintenance? Do they suggest that I love color and design? For the past couple of weeks I have come across the most weird, the most ugly and the most beautiful shoes and in the end they all have a purpose. But the question is what is their purpose to me? That is something I am trying to learn and understand so I can delve deep into how I can separate my authentic appreciation for fashion and my obsession with shoes. Below is my recent DSW guilty splurge, Via Spiga Altessa Pump. The one thing I am alright with is that they were on clearance and I had a coupon; but I have yet to figure out what they do for me even though they are quite banging shoes.

I Do Not Believe This Info is True
- "39% of women prefer flats above all else"
- "only 33% have spent more than $100 on a pair of shoes"
- "29% feel comfortable buying shoes online"
- "only 25% have worn shoes that are 4″ or higher"
If it is, then I am definitely an outlier and I am definitely shoe obsessed. I mean the author, Lauren Sherman from Fashionista, even hinted that the survey has very good reason to be inaccurate!

Growing Stronger and Getting Out of a Virtual World
It's crazy that when you realize and accept your weaknesses you actually grow stronger. Its empowering to find that imperfection is the most beautiful part of being human. Its motivating to know that despite flaws and mistakes you can still conquer the world! Its AMAZING to finally free yourself from the virtual world! My virtual world encompassed nothing but shoes. Can you imagine a world where everything is about shoes? If I didn't get myself out of that funk...well then...Yikes! But weird as it may seem, people are incorporating gadgets, food, electronics into their design of shoes.
So, it is possible to live in a world of shoes, if you are a really good designer and you can convert everything in your home into a pair of shoes... These are only a few pictures of what Caroline Stanley posted on Flavorwire.com. I was intrigued, I had a good laugh, I pulled on the Carrie Bradshaw face, then I thought it a bit disturbing. Either way, its art in all senses. That's what shoes are, a form of art. So are they my obsession? Are some obsessions healthy if they are awe-inspiring? what about my cravings for a pair of Aldo shoes? I might have to sit back and think about my view of my shoes as art. Oshun
Watch Out! There's A Shoe Obsessed Carrie Bradshaw Look-A-Like Roaming The Stores!
And she makes the following facial expression when she sees shoes!
Although I physically do not look like Carrie Brashaw, I know I make that facial expression when I see shoes, especially when I walk into DSW and when I am on the Christian Louboutin website. Welcome to the world of the superficial siren and her shoes! Day One of Therapy - realizing that there's a problem!
